Solo after dark
40
2.0 / 5 on the question we ask with women traveling alone at night in mind. Anyone can answer from the stop they made. This is still the first look — the crowd hasn't weighed in.
Seven ways a lot can feel off
- Lanterns3.0 / 5
Canopy, storefront, and the stall row itself after dark.
- Company2.0 / 5
Other people, open businesses, and eyes on the lot — versus a highway island.
- Solo after dark2.0 / 5
Would you charge here alone at night? Rated with women traveling solo in mind, and from the stop you actually made.
- Leave it4.0 / 5
Smash-and-grab and cut-cable feel. Five means you'd leave a bag in the car; one means you wouldn't.
- Unbothered3.0 / 5
Whether people come to the window, ask for money, or linger at the stalls.
- The walk3.0 / 5
Restroom, coffee, food: how far, how lit, and whether it's open when you arrive.
- The lot3.0 / 5
Sightlines, cameras, which row is the dark one, and whether the exit is obvious.
First look
Visitor Center lot on Nielsen Point Place, just down a berm from the Blue Lakes In-N-Out. On August 1, 2026 a mass shooting that began at the restaurant reached this Supercharger. People charging Teslas were shot, and Dale Schultz was killed at his car. It is the worst thing in this almanac, and it was not a pattern of theft at the stalls. The pin stays so the note is here before you arrive. Daytime it is a visitor-center pull-off. In October 2026 Tesla added a US 'Emergency Drive Away' so a car can shift into Drive while still plugged in, citing Supercharger shootings including this one.
Wattfolk's read of the setting, written for a first visit. It is not a police score, and traveler notes below can move it.
City around the lot
No citywide rate is applied to this pin.
Not in the FBI 2024 table of the 200 largest reporting cities this almanac transcribes. No city rate is applied. What you feel here is the lot, not a downtown statistic.
US estimates used for the nudge: 359 violent and 1760 property crimes per 100,000 in 2024 (USAFacts, from FBI national estimates). A city rate is not this parking row.

Mass shooting reached the Visitor Center Supercharger
On August 1, 2026 a mass shooting began at the In-N-Out on Blue Lakes Boulevard North and moved north to the Tesla Supercharger in the Twin Falls Visitor Center lot. KTVB's police timeline says the shooter fired into two Teslas there. Dale Schultz was killed, his passenger was wounded, and another person in a Tesla was shot. Three people were killed in the attack overall, not counting the shooter. This was not a pattern of theft at the stalls.

Traveler notes
Nobody has written on this stall yet. Regulars usually know which door actually opens after ten.
Wattfolk is an independent field guide, not Tesla. Tesla's own site says 80,000+ Superchargers worldwide. The pins here are the open sites in the supercharge.info directory of that network, with stall counts from the same list. A Glow is a first look or a traveler score. Other pins show a paper score: the citywide crime rate, plus any verified news at that exact site. A blank 60 means neither was on file. It is not a review of the lot. Crime figures are citywide rates, not the parking lot. The news log is reported incidents, not a complete record.
