Lived score 68, then -4.9 from the citywide crime rate.

Solo after dark

60

3.0 / 5 on the question we ask with women traveling alone at night in mind. Anyone can answer from the stop they made. This is still the first look — the crowd hasn't weighed in.

Seven ways a lot can feel off

  • Lanterns4.0 / 5

Canopy, storefront, and the stall row itself after dark.

  • Company4.0 / 5

Other people, open businesses, and eyes on the lot — versus a highway island.

  • Solo after dark3.0 / 5

Would you charge here alone at night? Rated with women traveling solo in mind, and from the stop you actually made.

  • Leave it3.0 / 5

Smash-and-grab and cut-cable feel. Five means you'd leave a bag in the car; one means you wouldn't.

  • Unbothered3.0 / 5

Whether people come to the window, ask for money, or linger at the stalls.

  • The walk4.0 / 5

Restroom, coffee, food: how far, how lit, and whether it's open when you arrive.

  • The lot3.0 / 5

Sightlines, cameras, which row is the dark one, and whether the exit is obvious.

First look

Target on Geary in the Richmond, not a downtown garage and not the Tenderloin. The store is the amenity: bathroom, lights, people, usually later than a cafe. Geary itself is a busy arterial, which helps. San Francisco's property-crime rate is the number to respect — don't leave a backpack for 'just twenty minutes.' A normal Target lot is better than a dead-end alley, and it is not a promise.

Wattfolk's read of the setting, written for a first visit. It is not a police score, and traveler notes below can move it.

San Francisco's 2024 property rate is the number that matters at a stall. Violent crime in this extract is closer to a large-city middle.

Source: FBI UCR 2024, transcribed from Wikipedia's List of United States cities by crime rate (the 200 largest reporting cities).

US estimates used for the nudge: 359 violent and 1760 property crimes per 100,000 in 2024 (USAFacts, from FBI national estimates). A city rate is not this parking row.

Traveler notes

Nobody has written on this stall yet. Regulars usually know which door actually opens after ten.

Leave a field note

Score 5 if the stall feels easy, 1 if it feels off. Notes are public and anonymous — no names, plates, emails, or phone numbers.

Wattfolk is an independent field guide, not Tesla. Tesla's own site says 80,000+ Superchargers worldwide. The pins here are the open sites in the supercharge.info directory of that network, with stall counts from the same list. A Glow is a first look or a traveler score. Other pins show a paper score: the citywide crime rate, plus any verified news at that exact site. A blank 60 means neither was on file. It is not a review of the lot. Crime figures are citywide rates, not the parking lot. The news log is reported incidents, not a complete record.
